The ideal candidate will lead and assist efforts in pursuit of providing appropriate and innovative mezzanine investment, and value creation to select promising Philippine SMEs.
The Senior Investment Officer (Associate equivalent) will participate at all levels of deal execution and portfolio company investment oversight and management. Activities include, but not limited to, the following:

Screen new investment opportunities

Conduct due diligence and market validation for potential investments

Build relationships with entrepreneurs and investors to gain access to companies

Build and manage financial models, including underlying project operating pro formas, to analyze and structure investments and evaluate the associated risks.

Financial, business and industry due diligence on new investment opportunities
-
Compose both investment proposals and briefing memos on new investment opportunities, including term sheet development.

Participate in meetings and conference calls with management teams, investors and other intermediaries (investment bankers, business brokers, etc.) for new investment opportunities.

Database management of our portfolio

Perform financial reviews of existing portfolio companies and general portfolio monitoring.

Assist in preparing business development presentations

Requirements

Strong attention to detail

4-5 years full-time, relevant work experience

Solid understanding of accounting and finance.

Strong quantitative and analytical skills with extensive financial modeling and analysis experience

Extensive experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Familiarity with debt and project finance transactions and documentation is a plus

Description
Reporting to the Managing Director, this position has overall responsibility for ARQ's financial management.

The position allows the successful candidate to be part of the senior management team, interface with ARQ's principals, and play a major role in the company’s continued development and expansion.​

Asset/Liability management- oversees the asset/liability management for the company. The Finance Manager works closely with senior management to develop specific guidelines for asset/liability management.

Financial planning -works closely with senior management and departmental heads to identify and drive appropriate growth strategy, financial analysis and due diligence to enable the company to reach its strategic goals

Budgeting and forecasting -participates extensively in the strategic planning process and leads the budgeting and forecasting processes of the company. The Finance Manager builds a strong financial discipline and accountability foundation for budgeting and forecasting.

Profitability analysis and reporting
-
Internal/external financial reporting- ensure that resources, internal controls, and financial processes exist to achieve timely and accurate reporting of all financial matters to internal and external parties. Leads the annual audit

Financial management- directs and coordinates the implementation of effective accounting and financial administration policies, procedures and reports to ensure sound financial management and control of the company.

Ensure adequacy and appropriateness of the risk management methodologies and systems across the company to consistently meet best practices in the industry and prudential guidelines.

Enhance the current risk control framework through formulation of policies/procedures and establish the mechanism to calculate, control and monitor enterprise risk.

Review of operations, procedures and policies to comply with laws/prudential guidelines, assess optimal compliance and be in line with best industry practices.

Review compliance audit results to implement processes/procedures to address risk mitigation effectively and expeditiously.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance.

Minimum 7 years experience directly related to Accounting/Finance in a financial service firm, commercial bank, or investment fund. At least 4 years must have been in managerial capacity

Fully functional with all aspects of financial and cost accounting, reporting, MIS, payroll and MS Excel.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
-
Possess good presentation and organizational skills.

Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

CPA or similar accreditation.

The Accounting and Administrative Officer will be responsible for execution of the company’s accounting, billing, invoicing, and office administration functions. This individual will oversee day-to-day financial and administrative operations, support strategic initiatives, and act as a liaison between the principals and internal or external stakeholders. The role includes supervising an assistant staff member to ensure efficient execution of all responsibilities.

Accounting and Financial Management

Handle all accounting activities, including bookkeeping, preparation of financial reports, and reconciliation of accounts.

Manage invoicing, billing, and payment collections for investments and operations.

Ensure compliance with tax, BIR, and SEC regulations and oversee filing of relevant returns and reports.

Oversee office administration, including procurement, vendor management, and inventory of office supplies.

Manage company documentation, contracts, and business compliance records.

Handle scheduling and logistics for meetings, events, and travel arrangements for the owners and key executives.

Supervise and delegate tasks to the assistant staff to ensure smooth office operations.

Act as the primary point of contact for the owners for administrative and operational matters.

Coordinate meetings, draft agendas, and ensure timely follow-up on action points.

Support the owners with project management, monitoring key business initiatives, and preparing executive summaries or updates.

Facilitate communication between stakeholders and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Team Supervision and Support:

Lead and mentor the assistant staff, ensuring effective task delegation and team collaboration.

Monitor staff performance and provide guidance on daily operations.

Other Duties:

Ensure adherence to company policies and streamline processes to improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting, administration, or a similar role.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks and Odoo) and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Knowledge of tax and regulatory compliance in the Philippines (e.g., BIR, SEC).

Ability to multitask and handle confidential matters with discretion.

Leadership experience, with the ability to supervise and train staff.
